3D artwork I created in 2007, in between various contracting jobs and chasing a baby around the house.
More experiments in medium and high rez poly models. Also, exercises in animation, scene setup, lighting and rendering.
Again lots of help from my brother Dave.
Evil Robotic Muppet : 10/2007
Evil robotic muppet armed with a Kalashnikov.
A companion to my teletubbie with a battle axe.
I modeled this in a standard t-pose,
then used a skeleton/rig to move his arms, hands and shoulders into a more dynamic pose, so he could hold the rifle.
Teletubbies Are Evil.
Still, my daughter can't get enough of these little bastards.
She'll sing the cute little intro song and wave the DVD box at me...and we watch
teletubbies for the zillionth time. What is a Daddy to do?
I passive aggressively put a bloody battle axe in one of their stumpy little mitts and use a
texture map of a really bad ache patient for the face.
The old Jack Kirby comic art was my inspiration for this Retro Iron Man. I was going for old-school, atomic toaster oven, not the Robert Downey Jr, Civil War Iron Man.
I was searching the web for stock photos of cool old computers, and decided to just build my own! I used Maya's mental ray rendering to get the nice shiny effects.
My first animated character . His mouth moves.
Why did I pick a muppet? I don't know, it came to me after the zillionth time I watched sesame street with my daughter.
